Fairtrade Organization in Cambodia

Cambodia Knits is a social enterprise working with marginalized communities in and near Phnom Penh. We produce beautiful, high quality and unique hand-made products while providing fair and flexible employment opportunities.
CK produces a cute and lovable range of hand-knit and crochet products. Our focus is on creating quality products with quality materials—making sure each individual piece receives the same care and attention that we hope you will give once you take it home!

Fair trade and fairly made, our products are sold through our global brand, Beebee+Bongo. Visit Bb+B for full e-commerce access.

An added bonus of choosing one of our handmade wonders is that your purchase supports local community members in Cambodia by providing them with sustainable employment. CK believes that employment opportunities empower marginalized communities to find a way out of poverty, especially when the work is fairly paid and addresses the challenges they face. We refuse to employ anyone under the age of 18, encouraging all of those we work with to ensure their children receive a good education by remaining in school. To support them in this, we provide educational stipends for our producers with young children.

Our producers

Once trained, all participants have the opportunity to produce CK products at piece rates. Knitters and crocheters are provided with all materials and receive a fair piece rate for what they produce. We regularly visit the communities to collect the products, pay producers and provide support and additional training when necessary.

Our Story

Cambodia Knits was started by Monika Nowaczyk, a Polish-Canadian who has been living in Cambodia for nearly two decades, when she saw that women in many communities had limited opportunities for earning money.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create high quality, international standard, handmade toys that eco-friendly and delightful for children. We create our own line of toys and also manufacture OEM for other brands.

Our Vision

We envision a world where all women have access to fair, flexible economic opportunities that enable them to support their families. We believe this is a key step towards the eradication of inter-generational poverty.

These are hands down the best gifts to get for kids, or the young at heart in your life, during your travels. All their products are super high quality, and they've been supporting women in the community for over a decade. Can't recommend them enough.

Cambodia Knits products have always been a staple gift, to people little AND big. Friends have remarked about how durable the knit toys are, surviving both toddlers and pets! Also, I love how much the business gives back to communities in need as a social enterprise. Definitely support these guys whether online or IRL at the store if you're in PP!

Absolutely love this shop with its gorgeous hand-made knitted toys. Double satisfaction factor knowing everything is made by local women from marginalised communities. These products are perfect as gifts or souvenirs - my personal favourite is the Apsara doll where you even get to choose her skirt colour! Highly recommended.

I drove passed this tiny shop called "Cambodia Knits" in the Toul Tompoung area and stopped to see their products. They have some nice hand made toys and sheets that are knitted by local Cambodians. I bought a few toys for my kids and they love it. The sheets feels great for in the car as well.
