While we strive to make responsible choices in our manufacturing process, we cannot claim that our products are fully eco-friendly. This is because the interior of our toys contains polyester, a material derived from plastic. As a result, they do not meet the criteria for being considered environmentally friendly. However, we are continuously exploring more sustainable alternatives to improve the environmental impact of our products in the future.
We are consistent in ordering our yarn supplies from the same supplier, but it happens that a new batch of yarn of the same reference is slightly lighter or darker… That is part of the manufacturing process, and as long as it still fits our standards and the color is still accurate, we keep using it.
Our products are handmade by different home based producers, following a pattern developed by our team. The production team is then following this pattern, but variations in size can occur as crocheting is a handmade skill. As a result, there can be slight variations of a few centimeters (up to 2 cm, depending on the model)

Our products are made in Cambodia, by our team of home-based producers that is spread accross the country. Currently we have producers in the following provinces : Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Kampong Cham

Yes, our products are safe for children, including newborns. Not only are they safe, they are also designed to keep your baby feeling warm and cozy.
Cambodia Knits works closely with communities in Cambodia, especially in areas where stable employment opportunities are limited. We provide community members with materials, patterns, and training they need to create our hand-knit products from home. This flexible model allows them to earn a reliable income while still managing other responsibilities such as farming, household work, or childcare.
We understand that many of our makers have seasonal work or family obligations, so we design our production process to be as adaptable as possible. This means knitters can work when it suits them, creating a sustainable and dignified livelihood without having to leave their homes or communities. By combining ethical employment with skill-building and long-term support, Cambodia Knits helps empower local artisans.
Cambodia Knits also provides support throught its Scholarship Fund, purchasing furnitures (bags, pen, notebook, uniform,…) to support the kids of our home-based producers to give them an easier access to education
The time it takes to make a toy depends on its size and complexity. A small toy usually takes around 1.5 hours to complete. Larger toys, on the other hand, can take up to 2 full days or more, especially if the order includes multiple items or requires detailed work. Since all of our products are handmade with care by skilled knitters, we prioritize quality and attention to detail over speed.
Yes, all Cambodia Knits products are washable and the colors will not fade or run when washed. Each item is carefully handcrafted and designed to be durable and easy to care for. Additionally, we make sure to gently wash every product before shipping it to you, so it arrives clean and ready to use.
Whilst we ensure our products are not defectuous through a quality check process, mistakes can happen. If you receive a defective item, contact us and we will do our best to replace it.
